where reality collides with imagination
Do you know where reality collides with imagination... at a daycare! Well, the other day I was helping in the preschool room (around 4 year old children) and it was table toy time where we take bins out that have blocks and different connector toys or they can color at the other table. Anyways I was at the toy table and one of the boys was playing with the connector toys, well he made a "gun". I reminded him that we do not play guns at school. He then transformed it into a "camera" and proceeded to "take" a picture of me! He then looked at it and said "that looks good...Oh, you wanna see it?!" And he "showed" me the "picture" so I would "approve" of it!!! Kids pick up on everything don't they...that was so cute and it was definitely proof what generation these kids are in!!!

Beth and Daniel...
In an earlier post I told you I was going to do a Bible study on the book of Daniel given by Beth Moore. She has an amazing God-given talent beyond description to bring the Word to life and relevancy. She talks fast and your head is usually spinning from all the insight and knowledge you have heard from her and Gods Word. Anyways when our study is finished we will have had eleven weeks of study and twelve sessions with Beth Moore (video). We all know the Sunday School lesson of Daniel in the Lion's Den. But it is a more intense and deeper piece of history than one might remember from Sunday School with many other scenes surrounding it. I am going to give you quick highlights of our journey thru the book of Daniel so far. We are about 1/2 way done with the study so I chose now to do so. Maybe there will be some insight for you and this will help me to remember what I have so gratefully learned.
The first half of the study was on living a life of integrity. The last half of the study (just starting) will be a study on prophecy and end times. So onto relating to you what I have learned thus far... and by NO MEANS will I ruin it for you should you decide to do this study your self...
like I said your head is swimming when she finishes!!!
Week 1) Babylon, not just an ancient city but the mentality that surrounds us right here in the USA. Luxury, entertainment, choices of many kinds at our fingertips from what coffee should I order to what piece of furniture to buy next or vacation to go on. Not that choices are bad but we are surrounded by self-indulgence. And we need to be wary not to let that mentality indoctrinate us but to resolve to indoctrinate the "Babylon" around us.
Week 2)The image in King Nebuchadnezzar's dream depicts the empires of this world till the return of Christ. "History is not a cyclical process of endless repetition but is being moved toward the predetermined end"-Beth Moore...OH! and the rock, the cornerstone...the perfect fit...oh! just consider doing the study!!!
Week 3) When facing a fiery trial we have three scenarios:
A) We can be delivered from the fire-our faith is built
B) We can be delivered through the fire-our faith refined
C) We can be delivered by the fire into His arms-our faith perfected
Oh! the Divine set-up for a step up!!! ....You have to consider doing this study!!!! See I am not giving too much away! Theres too much to learn here!!!
Week 4) Pride-the Babylon mentality "I am and there is none beside me" Daniel 4 v. 30
Don't let pride get the best of you. The way up is down, the way down is up.
Week 5) We have been declared Holy-resolve to live a holy life so Satan does not declare you as common/ordinary. Satan wants us to believe we are not who we ARE, whether he gets us to believe we are more or less...
Week 6) Daniel in the Lion's Den. In an emergency we can either: panic-do the wrong thing, become paralyzed-do no thing/nothing, or we can pray-the power thing!
Now week 7, just the beginning of the prophecy/end times section. I would wait to tell you but it is too exciting. The ANCIENT OF DAYS!!!!!! Whenever the scriptures refer to this title for God it is speaking of His judgement, THE true ONE and ONLY judge! Judges of this world will be judged by the Judge Himself. Basically, GOD KNOWS!!! He knows the guilty AND He knows the INNOCENT!!! And when Christ comes riding on the clouds all wrongs will be righted. Nothing will be clouded, for the Ancient of Days has judged.

So, ever since moving out here I hear of theives stealing metal off of cars, statues in yards and even headstones out of graveyards...

A Bible study! A Bible study!
A Bible study with Beth Moore...my favorite! If you haven't done one of her studies get in one and then brace yourself!!! God has given her such wisdom and a talent to share that wisdom with such relevance. I have done her Breaking Free study back at Grace Church in MN with some other singles at the time...actually a few were married...anyways. Now here In Vancouver we have been going to Glennwood Community Church and the Women's Ministry started Beth's study on Daniel. I was so excited to get into a Bible study again let alone one of hers. We have only done two weeks so far...I would tell you what its about...where do I start...you just learn SOOO much. Anyways, I was excited so I thaught I'd share. Thanks for listening to me go on...
P.S. I intend to get pictures and more music up here sooner rather than later!

For friends
Hi,
This post is about the song I have posted on my Playlist "The Prayer". We have some dear friends that we have been praying for daily since we found out about a certain situation they are going through. It is definately one of those unfathomable places in life you would never have thought of being in, yet there they are. So along with a handful of other friends we pray for God's protection in their lives. Maybe you or some one you know is facing some dark times. Take a moment to thank the Lord for your blessings, the tangable and the untangable. Then pray.

Kids say the cutest things!
Hi! As some of you know I work at a daycare. Most of my daycare experience is with the toddler age group which I adore! But at this daycare I co-teach a preschool age class. Well one of the little girls mother was talking to us teachers telling about their weekend. Anyways she went on to tell us that "little Suzie" was having some growing pains in her leg (remember those!). So her mom had been rubbing her legs to help ease the pain. Well, anyways, I guess "little Suzie" sat back and with her cute little worried raspy voice she says "Oh... I guess I'm not as youg as I used to be..." Mind you she is only 4!!! Another cute story...I also babysit for a family that has a 5yr old boy 3 1/2 yr old boy and a 1 yr old boy. Anyways you know when I come to babysit I play and interact with the kids! And we get along great! And we have a good time! Anyways I am also friends with the mom and we play Bunco together (girls night out-games). So Melissa (the mom) told Zane (the three yr old) that she was going to go play games with Mrs. Howgowd (as Zane pronounces my last name!) Zane continued to say to his mother... with scowl and pouty lip..."Why you tell me dat?!?!?!"
